An RSS feed is a type of XML file that summerizes the content of a site in a way a computer can understand. You can use them with many popular programs to automatically gather all the latest news from all the sites you care about and deliver it to you the way you want it... the moment it's published. <G>

If you've never tried using an RSS feed before, you will probably be surprised at how useful and conveniant they can be. If it's old hat to you, you'll be pleased to know that Studios has an RSS channel that summerizes the latest news items from the main page.

Trillian Pro

One popular program that now features RSS support is Trillian Pro. Configuring this program is made complex by the fact that it requies you to split the URL of the feed source into two parts. To add support for the Studios news feed you will need the RSS News Feed plug-in, which you can get from the member area on the Cerulean Studios website. The plug-in is also a standard part of Trilian Pro 2.0. Once you have the plug in, go to the File menu and choose Preferences..., then click the News item under the Plugins heading in the left-hand pane of the Preference window. Finally, click the Add Custom Feed button and configure the settings as shown below.
